This is a great shop run by honest people. I'm always skeptical when I go to a mechanic because they often assume that I don't know anything about cars and then give me a bull excuse on why they want to charge me more than it should cost. This shop was not like that. They gave me accurate quotes over the phone, which was cheaper than the dealership (even though they do the same things as the dealer and use oem parts just like the dealership) I had my timing belt changed as well as the 90K mile check up for my car and they took care of everything in one day ( I thought it would take longer) They gave me a break down of what they did, the inspections, what they found, and what they recommended in repairs (without pushing any repairs on me) They were very down to earth and explained exactly what repairs would be needed soon and why. The best part was that they were honest about it, no made up excuses to get my car back in for repairs I didn't need. I even thought I might need a brake job when I brought it in because it had been a while, but they told me that my bakes were good even though I was ready pay for it. Because of their honesty, prices, and quality work, I will definitely be coming back to them again.

Recently my girlfriend and I had tires replaced by one of the large tire chains (whom shall remain nameless but does consist of x3 letters in the name). They were very emphatic that we needed to spend over $1K with them in new suspension parts and labor. To the point that we were concerned with putting our lives in jeopardy by continuing to drive the vehicle one mile further. Before moving forward with the BIG BOX, I recalled a friend mentioning a great experience they had with the team at North Dallas Imports. Since they specialized in Japanese brands I would not have thought of them for our German. To my delight they were not only able to assist but did an outstanding job of diagnosing the vehicles real issues. They were honest and straight forward with their findings and rather than take us for more than we needed to spend, they told us the truth. The personalized care, attention to detail and apparent genuine want to create long term relationships based on honesty and trust was refreshing. Many times issues with vehicles can be like finding a ghost in the machinery and this makes people susceptible to unscrupulous business tactics. I am confident the North Dallas Imports Team is the exception to the rule, they have a new fan here folks. Way to go Eddie and Andy, you guys ROCK! -Michael R

I've been a customer of North Dallas Imports for several years now and have always been satisfied with the service done by Eddie, Andy and the mechanics there. Recently I was experiencing electrical problems with my 2008 Accord. First I took it to the dealer where I purchased it, thinking it was still under warranty. Sadly, the warranty had run out. The dealer estimate to repair the car was $800. I took the car to NDI where I saved about $300 for the exact same parts and repair. In addition to quality work the customer service is top notch. Once when dropping off my car, I was stuck without a ride and Eddie gave me a lift several miles to my house. If you have a Japanese car I highly recommend this shop for repair.

Eddie, and the entire staff from office to ASE HONDA Cert master mechanics... This is the ONLY shop in Texas I will ever trust my Honda S2000 to from now on! After I've spent years and thousands at dealers never fully restoring my baby's motor, I heard rave reviews about Eddie and North Dallas Imports on S2KI.com. My last mechanic left my car dead, I towed it to Eddie. Within two days they had identified the point of mechanical failure!! Their assessment was very controversial among the forum. Eddie and the master mechanic working on my S2K answered all my concerns with confidence, taking the time to listen to me, and that alone was and is enough for me to recommend their performance! So long story short, North Dallas Imports took my completely dead, no starting even with new battery Honda S2000 which previous mechanics gave up on... Quickly and efficiently found the timing off, the TC had jumped, and the kicker-- they found the Cam Gear that had become damaged which caused the timing to jump... and Ultimately that also determined what caused the Cam gear to fail. I know a dishonest or shady shop would have likely taken advantage of my situation and possibly racked up many $$$$ more in necessary replacements or rebuilds maybe a new engine swap... But Eddie and his honest and incredible associates only did what was needed, checked for signs of more several bottom end or head damage, and assured me that this low cost repair would either fix my car or I wouldn't have to pay. Plus they said with confidence that as long as I maintain it, the motor feels strong and will likely last a long time more, even though it already has 196000 hard driven miles. They are miracle workers and I know that no shop will ever touch my Baby, ever again, other than, NORTH DALLAS IMPORTS! Thank you guys!!!

Being a female who knows nothing about cars, I've had my fair share of mechanics try to take advantage of me. But Eddie and his crew are the most honest people I've ever met. I first went to NDI on a recommendation when my AC went out. He could have lied and told me I needed a new compressor; which would have cost hundreds of dollars. Instead, he diagnosed it as a malfunctioning part that cost $40 to replace. The second time I went to Eddie was because I thought I needed new shocks. Again, he had the opportunity to bilk me but instead advised that my tires were too full. After that, I won't even consider taking my car to anyone else.

Great Customer Service & Cost of repairs definitely lower than what I would have paid @ Honda Dealership. Felt like Eddie really cared about me & what type of repairs were actually needed, instead of just adding more to my Bill. Will recommend this company to anyone who wants Excellent Service all around.

I can't tell you how much of a life-saver Eddie, Andy and team were for me. After receiving a 4-figure quote on a transmission repair from a dealership, I took my Grand Cherokee in to NDI after reading the reviews, and he was able to save (literally) thousands off what I was quoted. These guys come highly recommended.

I should have written this review a while ago but now I have gone to North Dallas Imports several times and I am absolutely amazed and thankful for them. I first went to them when the radiator system on my 1999 Saab broke. I know nothing about cars and am an easy target to get taken advantage of. Jiffy Lube quoted $1200 to fix my car and did not say anything about what was wrong with it besides that the radiator needed replaced. Eddie took the time to explain to me what had happened and why it needed replaced and he charged me around $500 or $550 (LESS THAN HALF of what Jiffy Lube quoted). When my roommate took me to drop my car off his car died in their parking lot. I live about 15 minutes from the shop but over 30 if there is traffic. My roommate and I are new to Texas so we had nobody that we could call. One of the guys that work their drove us home so that we would not have to pay for a taxi. I went to NDI again when my whole A/C system broke and they were so knowledgeable and helpful with the whole thing. They have a towing service that came to get my car. I was trying to get to a rental car place before it closed so they told me to just leave the key under the mat and they took care of everything. When I went to pick my car up I told Eddie that I wanted to fix it so that I could sell my Saab and buy a car that was not going to be so high maintenance (even with their amazing prices it was pretty expensive to get the whole a/c system replaced). He spent the time giving me advice on what kind of cars to look into and common problems with different types of cars. They are always busy but they always take the time to help you because its obvious that they actually care. The most recent reason that I have gone to NDI is kind of unfortunate but would be way more unfortunate if I did not have a shop that was so wonderful and helpful. I bought an '07 Honda Civic on Craigslist. When I went to look at the car I called NDI and Andy looked up the VIN number for me and spent a good 15-20 minutes on the phone with me. He looked up any recalls and was able to give me some great information. I wanted to take the car to NDI before I purchased it but it was about an hours drive one way so the seller was not being convinced. Andy helped as much as he could over the phone even though he knew I was not bringing the car in and they would be getting paid nothing for the advice/help. I took the car to a mechanic near her that she knew and paid them to check the car for me and he said it was in perfect condition. After I bought the car I took it to NDI to have Eddie look at it and unfortunately, even though it was a clean title, I had basically gotten scammed and it had been in a really bad accident and is not even safe to drive (the shop that I paid $55 to check it lied to me). Eddie gave me an honest evaluation of the car, which is what I asked for. He then started researching laws and obviously spent a good amount of time trying to figure out options that I had to rectify the situation. This is completely beyond what any other shop would do, but it is so in line with the character of Eddie and everybody at NDI. Oh, and he did not even want to charge me anything for checking the car or all the time he spent researching....so the other shop charged me $55 and did nothing and lied to me and NDI did a detail check of the car and helped me know what to do and wanted to charge me nothing! I am still dealing with that situation but every time that I see or talk to Andy or Eddie it is obvious that they genuinely care about my cars and about me. Their prices are way lower than any other place you will go to, but in all honestly I think I would go to them if their prices were double the normal because they are that good and that honest. There is truly not a better place to take your car. They specialize in Honda and Acura but they have done great work on my Saab so definitely contact them and ask, even if you drive a different kind of car. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU NDI!!

I have had my 1996 acura worked on here since the place opened, and I have never been disappointed. The prices they charge are typically 40 -50 % less than most other shops, and I am not exaggerating.
